Looking for an alternative to invasive aesthetic treatments? Look no further! Newcastle Skin Clinic have introduced SofwaveTM, a new non-invasive, skin-loving treatment…
Newcastle Skin Clinic is proud to announce that they have chosen SofwaveTM as their latest non-invasive aesthetic treatment option.
With a focus on providing proven efficacy, safety, and minimal downtime, SofwaveTM is the perfect solution for improving facial lines, wrinkles, laxity, and volume loss.
Unlike invasive surgical options, SofwaveTM offers a unique technology that delivers ultrasound energy in a controlled manner, protecting the skin surface with an integrated cooling mechanism. This means that patients can undergo treatment without interrupting their daily routine and without the risk of side effects such as discolouration or discomfort.
SofwaveTM works by stimulating the production of new collagen, revitalising the skin and reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines. The technology is FDA-cleared for improving facial lines and wrinkles, lifting the eyebrow, and lifting lax submental and neck tissue.
Newcastle Skin Clinic, founded by renowned Aesthetic Director Luisa Scott, is known for delivering beautiful, natural-looking, and long-lasting results.
With experience gained from prestigious clinics around the world, Luisa brings her expertise and growing treatment portfolio to patients in Newcastle. Luisa Scott is thrilled to be the first clinic in the North East to offer SofwaveTM believes that everyone should have access to the best technology and be knowledgeable about the best treatments for their skin health and wellbeing. She believes in providing her patients with the best-in-class aesthetic technology and chose SofwaveTM for its incredible results, FDA clearance, and comfort during the treatment.
I’m dedicated to ensuring my patients have the best experience and journey possible, its ideal for my patients who don’t want to have surgery but treats those difficult areas such as eyelids and submental fat. We are already seeing amazing results from a single Sofwave treatment, whether it’s for the neck, brow-lifting, or full-face treatments.
So how does SofwaveTM work? The technology targets wrinkles at a depth of 1.5mm in the mid-dermis. Using the Synchronous Ultrasound Parallel Beam SUPERB™ technology, heat is generated at this precise depth while an integrated cooling mechanism called Sofcool™ protects the uppermost layer of the skin from overheating.
This stimulates a healing response in the treated areas, leading to increased collagen production and regeneration, resulting in a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, as well as lifting of the eyebrow, submental, and neck tissue.
The effectiveness of SofwaveTM has been clinically proven through a multi-center study. After a single treatment, most patients experienced improvement or significant improvement in their facial wrinkles. In addition, patient satisfaction is high, with 72% of patients rating their results as improved or very much improved, with some patients seeing results lasting up to 18-24 months.
One of the advantages of SofwaveTM is that it is safe and effective for all skin types. Unlike light-based therapies that can cause burns in darker skin types, SofwaveTM does not pose this risk. The treatment itself is quick, taking as little as 30-45 minutes for a full face treatment. It is easy to perform and can fit into an active lifestyle at any time of the day.
In terms of the number of treatments needed, it typically ranges from 1-2 treatments depending on the patient’s skin condition and the physician’s recommendation. Patients can expect to see immediate results as soon as one week after the treatment. However, the collagen regeneration process continues for up to 12 weeks, so ongoing improvements can be seen during this three-month period.
When it comes to side effects, SofwaveTM is designed to minimise downtime and optimise patient convenience. Clinical testing has shown no reports of bruising, ulceration, or skin pigmentation. The treatment does not require penetration of the skin, and no device-related adverse events were reported in the multi-centre study.
Patients also did not experience persistent pain or tenderness that would delay a return to normal activities.
