Botox for Wrinkle Relaxing uses the same medicine and relaxes the muscles that cause expression lines. Every client’s muscles and their problem areas are different, so each treatment is targeted to their individual needs.  We charge in increments of units rather than areas which means you have a bespoke treatment and you never pay for more than you have.  At Newcastle Skin Clinic we only use genuine UK licensed Botox so you can be sure of what you are having and how much is injected.

Anti-wrinkle treatments are particularly popular with over 30’s, however we do offer a lighter dose often referred to as ‘baby botox’ for our younger clientele, first timers, and clients that are keen to achieve a very subtle softening of lines.

At Newcastle Skin Clinic we only use the genuine Botox brand, as it’s the safest and most well-recognised within the industry because of it offers the most long lasting results.

At the Newcastle Skin Clinic, we believe that pricing should be fair and reflect the amount of Botox used, which is why we charge per unit as opposed to per area like most other clinics. Each of our clients want different outcomes, due to which, some clients will need more Botox units than others.

We use the latest software, which maps your face and the dosage we are using, therefore ensuring you are given a tailored dose which not only gives the very best results, but this keeps the cost at a minimum for you each time you visit.

FAQs

They are the treatment of choice for people who have forehead lines, frown lines or wrinkles around their eyes which they wish to reduce.

The treatment will involve your medical practitioner making a series of small injections into the muscles of your face. The injection process itself will only take several minutes. There are many different brands of Botulinum toxin but our nurse Luisa only uses genuine Botox®.

The procedure is largely pain free, with the exception of mild discomfort which is experienced due to the small needle injection involved. You may notice some soreness in the injection site directly after the treatment, but this should subside quickly.

Each patient is individual and we tailor a bespoke package to your needs which will be discussed during your consultation.   As a rough guide the smallest dose would be 25units giving a ‘baby botox’ effect softening the lines whilst still enabling lots of movement.  Most females usually require 50-75units for 3 areas.  Male patients and those with stronger muscles can require 75-100units.

Botulinum toxin has been in medical use for more than four decades, and it is administered in such a way that it only affects the area it is injected into – it does not reach any other part of the body. As long as it is administered by a qualified medical professional, the risks are extremely minimal.

You can carry on with your day as normal, although we advise that you avoid strenuous activity/saunas/other facial treatments for up to 24 hours.

After 4-10 days you will notice an improvement in your lines/wrinkles, and this result will last approximately 3-4 months depending on your dosage.

Anti – wrinkle injections are most effective when used to reduce the signs of ageing in the following places:

  • Forehead/brow
  • Between the eyes
  • Sides of the eyes

The results usually last for around four months, after which you may wish to return for another treatment.

Not at all, there are various options. It may be that dermal fillers or facial peels are possible alternatives for you. Before you undergo any treatment, you will be invited for a free consultation session with one of our nurse Luisa who will help you determine which treatment is suitable for you.

Most side effects are short-lived and mild, the most common being mild bruising to the site of the injection. Some patients also report mild headaches shortly after the treatment, but these usually subside within 24 hours.

You should not have this treatment if:

  • The injection site is infected
  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • You are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • You have a neuromuscular disorder (e.g. myasthenia gravis).
